Our Story

Edver Construction and General Merchandise was established in 1997 by Edilberto P. Malahito. What began as a small construction firm in Santa Cruz, Laguna has grown into a diversified contractor handling government infrastructure, water utility, and private building projects.

Over nearly three decades, ECGM has completed 185+ projects worth over PHP 931 million, including school buildings, roads, waterworks, drainage systems, electrical installations, and multi-purpose facilities for local government units and private clients across Laguna, Metro Manila, and Quezon.

Today, the company holds a PCAB Category B license, maintains Platinum membership with PhilGEPS, and continues to take on larger and more complex projects while staying rooted in the values of quality workmanship and community service.

1997

Founded

Established by Edilberto P. Malahito in Santa Cruz, Laguna as a sole proprietorship focused on local construction projects.

2005

PhilGEPS Platinum

Achieved Platinum membership status with the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System, opening doors to larger government contracts.

2010

Expanding Reach

Expanding to Cabuyao, Santa Rosa, and other cities across Laguna, taking on road, bridge, and public building projects for multiple municipalities.

2020

PHP 135.5M Cabuyao Integrated Learning Facilities (2023), ECGM's largest single project to date.

Edilberto P. Malahito

Proprietor / General Manager

Founded ECGM in 1997. Oversees all operations and business development. Under his leadership, the company has grown from a small local firm to a PCAB Category B licensed contractor serving government and private clients across Laguna and the Greater Manila Area.

Virginia Malahito

Managing Partner

Co-manages ECGM's business operations, financial oversight, and administrative functions. Instrumental in the company's growth from its founding, ensuring operational continuity and sound business management across all active projects.

Edison C. Malahito

Project Manager & Materials Engineer

Licensed CE (PRC #0117025). Material Engineer I (DPWH #6738). BS CE, UP Los Banos. M.Eng. CE Structural Engineering, De La Salle University. Manages project delivery, structural design, and engineering quality assurance.
